Some author said somewhere, we all write what we know about. But for me, writing is about giving words to the darkness in and around each of us. The darkness we don’t know exists in us. The darkness that we don’t know exists in our relationships. Each of us becomes a shadow in this darkness. These shadows do not have boundaries of shape and form. Shadows do not have boundaries that come from having a boundary of shape and form. Shadows can breathe without a nose. Shadows can love without touch. Shadows can hate without drawing daggers. Shadows are our unlived lives.
In writing, as in life, the shadows come alive only when darkness mixes with light and overpowers it. The darkness that brings forth shadows is far more beautiful than any dawn that my life has ever seen. It is this darkness that I worship and live onto each moment of my life. This darkness is my window to peace and passion of my unlived life.
